Zachary James Heismann, born January 6, 1976, passed away March 29, 2022.  Zac is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Heismann.  He is survived by his loving family: his wife, Jennie of 22 years, his mom Karen Heismann, brother Jeremy (Stephanie) Heismann, nephews Noah and Ryder. And his loving companion Sasha.
Zac was an incredible husband, son, brother ,uncle and friend.   He lived a life dedicated to serving others.  He loved Jesus and followed Christ’s example of being a servant.  Wherever there was a need, he was there, willing to help in any way he could.  In many ways, he made life’s hardships doable for countless people.  He made it a priority to be present and a part of celebrations and milestones in his friend’s and family’s lives.
Zac loved his 6 nephews dearly.  Wherever they were and whatever they were doing, he was there playing with them, whether it was pushing them around in a wheel barrow, raking big piles of leaves so they could jump in, or getting in the pool with all his clothes on to play.  He never wanted to miss a moment to be a part of their lives.
Zac lived an active lifestyle.  He loved soccer and basketball and loved playing with his friends and neighbors.  He was a skilled snowboarder and loved to go with his brother Jeremy and his nephews Noah and Ryder.  His love of the water drew him to surf and wakeboard as much as he could.
Zac worked hard as a software engineer.  During his downtime, you could often find him hard at work in his garden, growing tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, zucchini, and peppers, which he shared abundantly and freely with everyone.
Zac was the definition of a loyal friend.  He had an amazing group of friends that he has known for many years and loved each and every moment he was able to spend with them.
Zac was kind, patient, gentle, and compassionate; some would say he was the nicest person they had ever met.  His life was well lived and he will be dearly missed.
