Walter F. Mac Donald, Jr. Obituary

Walter F. Mac Donald, Jr. (Heartfully Remembered as "Skip") 65 years old

Born : March 7th, 1958, Great Lakes, Illinois

Died : December 31st, 2023, Denver, Colorado

Walter F. Mac Donald, Jr. was the Son of Walter F. Mac Donald, Sr. and Margaret A. (Tighe) Mac Donald (both from Boston, MA. neighborhoods, and both deceased). He was, also, the Nephew of one surviving Uncle, George R. Mac Donald of Bedford, MA., and Brother to Annemarie C. (Mac Donald) Adams and her husband, Robert E. Adams of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Irene T. Mac Donald of Scottsville, KY., Patsy J. Bolding of North Wales, PA., Maribeth C. Mac Donald (from Mattapoisett, MA.,  deceased), and John J. Mac Donald and his wife, Kay K. Mac Donald of Castro Valley, CA., and Uncle to Michael T. Bolding, Veronica (Mac Donald) Kimi, Justis M. Bolding, Janessa L. Bolding, Jeremy R. Clark, and Timothy R. Mac Donald, as well as Cousin to many caring and compassionate loving Family Members.

Additionally, Skip is sadly missed by his best friend of 7 plus years, Jerome Jackson, who always visited Skip at least twice weekly, took him out to trips to local parks, and Breakfasts, and/or Lunches, and did errands for him, as well as keeping in touch with Skip's Co-Guardians, and assisting with whatever he could, to help make Skip's life a happier, and more pleasant, situation.

Skip attended St. Patrick's Grade School, West Jr. High School, and Brockton High School, all in Brockton, MA.  As a youngster, he built up and maintained a successful Brockton Enterprise paper route, which he was very proud of, and, while in High School, he worked at Leonard's Restaurant, also, in Brockton.

After High School Graduation, Walter enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he Trained and Graduated from Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX., before being transferred to Hill Air Force Base in UT.  Skip was an Honorably Discharged American Veteran, who loved his Country, and resided in many of our United States, during his lifetime, including Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Wyoming, and Colorado.

Skip never married, nor did he have any children of his own, and he didn't have a pet. However, he truly loved Animals and Children, the Beauty of Nature, listening to all kinds of Music, watching CNN News, as well as ESPN Sports on TV, and keeping abreast of, and discussing, Politics. He never missed voting in an Election, and considered it both a right and a privilege to do so.  In addition, Skip found real joy in giving back to those less fortunate, and made it a monthly point to Charitably Donate to many worthwhile states-wide organizations, especially those assisting abused women, neglected children, and rescued animals.

Skip's Passing was due to Chronic Kidney Disease, and his Cremation was completed at Stork-Morley Funeral Home and Cremation in Lakewood, Colorado, on Saturday, January 6th, 2024. Also, as Skip's Final Wishes included his sealed Cremation Urn being interred at a National Cemetery of his choice, those arrangements have been made.

Skip's Burial has been scheduled at The National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts, which is located in Barnstable County, on Cape Cod, approximately 65 miles southeast of Boston, Massachusetts, and adjacent to the Otis Air National Guard Base. The National Cemetery's address is 1 Bennington Boulevard, Bourne, Massachusetts, 02532, and their phone number is (508) 563-7113. Skip's Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 28th, 2024, at 12:45pm.

When Our Family thinks of Skip, these are the words that come to mind "Caringly Kind And Thoughtfully Gentle. Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew, Cousin, And Friend. Proudly Served in the United States Air Force. Sadly Missed, Truly Loved, and Well Respected, Always."
