Vicki Lundy-Townsend Obituary

Victoria “Vicki” Lundy-Townsend

56 Years old

Born: August 28th, 1965 in Denver Co.

Died August 10th, 2021 in Lakewood Co.

Survived by loving husband Paul Townsend, devoted son Jeremy Lundy. Step Children Desiree Jones, Mathew Townsend, Steven Townsend, Treavor Townsend, and younger Brother Corey Lundy whom she helped raise. Daughter in-laws Rachel Lundy, Betsy Townsend, and Kayla Townsend and son in-law Rick Jones. Older brother Bud Lundy and Sisters Sharon Waidmann and Karen Lundy. Grandchildren Dametri, Orien, Mathew, Amanda, Caden, Aubreigh, Joseph, Stanton, and Sawyer. Many nieces and nephews and more family and friends that will miss the light that she brought to all our lives. Proceeded in death by father Leroy Lundy, mother Shirley Lundy, and sister Thresa Lundy.

Vicki was the youngest of 5 Children until years later when Corey was born. She was fun, full of life, and very adventurist always allowing Bud to pull her around in box tied to his bike. And she really liked fallowing around and annoying her sisters. As a teen she was very social, Vicki loved to laugh, and have fun. traits she never lost I might add.

When Vicki was 19, she had her son Jeremy. Although through her pregnancy Vicki wasn’t sure she would keep her baby when she saw her beautiful baby boy, she knew he would forever be her shining light. When Jeremy was almost 2, Bud introduced Vicki to her husband Paul. They moved in together when Jeremy was only 4. Paul had two children form a previous marriage, Desiree was a little older at this time but Mat was only 6, Vicki loved Mat as her own and would often talk about the nights she held him and rubbed his head while he battled horrible migraines.

Paul and Vicki were Married on August 2nd 1998 in Thornton Co. it was an outdoor wedding which continued into a large outdoor celebration. Tons of family from all over came in and there was food and dancing and you know a few sprits, but most of all it was family celebrating a beautiful lasting union.

In 2000 Paul’s brother Stan passed away and Paul and Vicki took in there two sons Steven 15 and Treavor 13. Vicki was a natural caregiver so naturally she cared for her father, sister, then mother before they then passed on so in 2006 when her mother passed her and Paul took in Corey. And that is how she got what she called her 5 sons. But ooh Being a grandmother brought a new found love to Vicki’s life she never knew. She was so proud of each and everyone of them and never missed a single birthday.

In 2008 Vicki was diagnosed with MS but she refused to let it get her down. She loved to host family dinners and have the hole family over for holidays. She loved to decorate for Christmas. she would decorate every inch of the house she could so no matter where you turned there was something to look at. Even on the ceiling! So naturally when Vicki and Rachel moved in together, she found a new love for Halloween.

Vicki loves to plant flowers in the spring, and worked at her dream job in accounts payable at Tuff Shed till the day she died. She was the type of person who drew you in with her big personality, her smile would light up a room. She was Genuine, Loyal, kind, and how Betsy described as wise. She always knew what to say when you were feeling down and she had a way of telling you the hard stuff that made you see the big picture. Her family was her world and although her light is gone from this place, we all take a piece of her in our hearts and I know that she is standing hand and hand with her mom and Thresa looking down on all of use.
