Tracy Weickum Obituary

Tracy Dale Weickum, 52, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 in Denver surrounded by family.  He was a man of many words and enough Tracyisms to fill a day-of-the-year calendar.  Some were serious, some were sarcastic, some were funny, and some were crass but all were said with love.  Tracy is survived by his wife Becky, his daughter Brooke, his step-daughter Cora, his parents Charlotte and Larry, his father Danny, his siblings Cody, Michelle and Mike, his grandson AdamLee and many many more aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Tracy will be remembered for his unwavering love and devotion for his family and friends.  Never one to say ‘No’ when anyone reached out for a helping hand or needed an ear. He lived hard and loved hard. If he wasn’t jet skiing or snowmobiling, he enjoyed cruising and showing off his hotrod in charity car shows.  His countless stories of growing up on the farm in Prospect Valley or elk hunting with his dad and brothers will always bring a smile to those who knew him.

Some of his most memorable experiences included the birth of his daughter and getting married at the BlackWater Castle in Ireland to admiring all the crazy cars in Monaco and all the fun in between from Dublin to Paris to Agay.  A close favorite was randomly meeting #77 Karl Mecklenburg on his birthday and getting a picture with his football idol.  Only to be followed by a surprise that Christmas when he received a framed copy of that photo signed by #77 himself.  He always believed great things happen when you do great for others.

To sum up with a Tracyism: If You Can’t Be Good, Be good At It…..

To My Love: I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart)
