Obituary

Susan Busey age 73 passed away Saturday July 18 th 2020 she was preceded by
her parents Blanchard & Minerva Shimel and her sister Vicky Grogan, Susan was survived by
her brother James (Lorna) Maxwell, niece and nephew June and Jimmy Maxwell of St Stephens
NB, Susan was also survived by niece and nephew Janine Reisch of Michigan and Randy (Lori)
Everett of Northglenn, CO and Brother In-law Bob Grogan
Susan was born and raised in Denver, CO attended North High School then worked for Dun
and Bradstreet for a number of years and later retired with King Soopers.
Susan was a very independent woman and spoke her mind when she felt warranted. She was
very set in her ways to say the least and whoever knew Susan that was just the way she was.
Susan’s interests included reading and an occasional funny animal show on the TV- VCR tape of
course! She also loved gardening, making house plants grow and taking care of the neighbor’s
dog when they were out of town. She loved playing darts at her local hangout in her earlier years.
Susan loved all animals, there was one in particular, a cat named Lilly that was her best friend!
Susan had many health complications in the last two years that sadly took her life and we will
miss her. Rest in Pease old girl, it will all work out.
Susan was a bit of a private person and did not want any grand gathering in her absence, she
would say who “will make my famous devil eggs then?”. The family has elected to plan a
celebration of life and will contact family and friends to determine the place, dates and times in
the very near future.
