Rene Raul Castaneda

Rene was born on Friday, January 13th, 1961, in Denver, Colorado.

Rene passed away on Friday, October 15th, 2021 in Unincorporated Adams County.

Rene is the son of the late Crescencio Castaneda Jr. and Carolina (Delgado) Castaneda.

Rene was preceded in death by his Father Crescencio and Mother Carolina Castaneda, his son Joseph Aguilar, and his grandson Ky Castaneda. He is survived by his wife Mary Castaneda, his brother Ivan Castaneda, his children Raymond (Michelle) Mora, Joshua (Kristin) Castaneda, Jacob (Jo) Castaneda, and Frank (Anjelina) Aguilar, his grandchildren Devian, Elias, Heavenly, Elias, Ezra, Kinley, Keanu, Valencia, Ignacio, Mary, Joseph, Frankie and Giovanni as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.

Rene earned his diploma at Thomas Jefferson High School.
Rene married Danette (Sanchez) Castaneda, his first wife to which his two sons were born, Joshua and Jacob Castaneda. Later in life he found the love of his life and married his current wife of twenty three years Mary Castaneda and has had a amazing twenty three years of happiness, together they raise three more sons, Joseph and Frank Aguilar, Raymond Mora.

Rene was very passionate about his jobs and work ethic throughout his life. From his time as a Chef and Food Tester to his highly desired time as a Auraria Campus Police Officer, With Metro State University of Denver.

Rene poured his Heart and soul into his profession. He dearly loved working out and exercising creating a lasting connection to His friends and family through this outlet. Rene's love of music is only matched and surpassed by the love he has for his family. Rene Will Be truly missed and in our hearts forever.
