Kay Conner was born in Renton Washington on May 26, 1952. Soon there after she and her mom migrated to Colorado to be with family. Kay was raised in Denver Colorado by her parents Neil and Verna Dunlap. Kay attended Lutheran HS and graduated in 1970. She married Mike Horvat in 1971 and moved to Golden CO, where she raised her two children, Jayna and Eric.
When Kay’s children got to school age, Kay went to work at Jefferson County Schools. Kay worked in School Accounting and Support and over 30 years of service become an Administrator in Budget and Finance for the school district.
In 2000, after her divorce, she reconnected with Frank Conner, who was a long-time friend. Kay and Frank married in 2002. They worked their jobs until 2007 when they both retired and took up RVing. They traveled all over the country visiting places that they had only read about. They loved the RV lifestyle because it allowed them to take their dogs, Willie and Sophie.
In addition to the RVing, they traveled both domestically and internationally. They bought a time share in Cabo San Lucas and traveled all around Mexico for many years. On their 20th wedding anniversary, they went to the islands of Morea and Bora Bora, in Tahiti.
In March of 2022, Kay was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. She fought long and hard and we prayed every day for the miracle to come and on morning of August 9, 2023, she lost her hard-fought battle.

Husband: Frank Conner, married 21 years.
Children: Jayna Lang, Eric Horvat (Stacy). Michael Conner.
Grand children: Presli and Leini Horvat, Brady, Will and Ava Conner.
Sister: Vicki Flower (Brett).
Nephews: Zachary Flower (Jamie), Spencer Flower (Taylor), Trevor Flower (Margaret).
Grand Nieces: Everly and Elodie Flower
