Mary Lou Hallam of Lakewood, Colorado passed on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Lutheran Collier Hospice Center. She was 78 years of age.
Mary Lou was born on July 27, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Geraldine and Charles Cote. In June of 1963, Mary Lou married Ronald Hallam, also of Chicago, and two children were born; Jacqueline and Jennifer. The family moved to Lakewood, Colorado in 1970 and remained in the same house for over 51 years.
Mary Lou loved to read, volunteer and enjoyed a variety of arts and crafts. She loved to travel and had seen the lands of 12 foreign countries and nearly every state. She was a caring person, devoted wife, mother and friend. She will be greatly missed by those she leaves behind.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carol Anne Cote and her granddaughter, Niccole Hatcher. She is survived by her husband Ronald Hallam; her sister-in-law Marilyn (Hallam) and Ed McNertney; daughters Jackie (Hallam) and Derrick McAdoo and Jennifer (Hallam) and Tyler Bass; grandchildren Tanya Barrett, Zachary Hallam, Cody Hallam and Casey Nelson; 10 great grandchildren, 1 niece and 2 nephews.
