Jon Lee Speer

On Monday, October 26, 2020, Jon Lee Speer, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed
away at age 74.
Jon was born on March 11, 1946 in Henderson, CO to Jack and Rose Speer. He graduated from
Brighton High School in Colorado in 1964. In 1968, he graduated from CSU with a degree in
computer science. On September 18 th 1968, he married Paulette Steving. They raised two
daughters, Shawna and Krista. Jon was an extremely successful salesman for over 30 years.
Jon, or Papa as his family called him, enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughters, and
grandchildren and loved watching them play sports. He enjoyed family gatherings, golfing,
sports, being in the company of friends, and vacationing in Maui, Hawaii. He was known for his
friendly nature, good spirit, and strength.
Jon is survived by his daughters, Shawna and Krista, his grandchildren Scott, Brian, Chase and
Taylor and his brothers Jim and George. Jon was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years,
Paula, father, Jack and mother, Rose, and his brother Jack.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
