Fred Chavez ,81 of Denver, Co. passed away on April 20, 2023 at The Denver Hospice At Lowery with his two children Isabel Chavez and Fred Chavez by his side at the time of his passing. Fred Chavez was born to his father Arthur D. Chavez and mother Dolores Gardunio Chavez in Rocky Ford Colorado on June 5,1941 with a total of 6 brothers and 5 sisters. He went to high school up until the 8th grade then finish with his high school equivalent at Front Range Community College. With that he started his career in the mines and retired in the steel industry as a machinist and fabricator. On January 25, 1964 he married his beloved wife Elma Marie Victoria “Martinez” Chavez and shortly after they started their own family. Together they had four children Isabell Chavez,Fred Chavez Jr, Charlie Chavez and Daniel Chavez. Throughout the years he was a pastor teaching the word of the Lord, sang in the church and his wife played the piano. Their family begin to grow and he was blessed with 11 grand children, 13 great grand children and 2 great great grandchildren. He had great talent as a mechanic as well as painting cars. He loved spending his time fishing, going to the casino, dancing, listening to music,playing pool, and most of all with his friends and family.
