Wolfe, Dora June 23, 1955 – September 18, 2021 Denver, Colorado.
Dora “Mirtha” Thelma Wolfe, age 66, passed away after battling Metastatic Breast Cancer on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Dora was preceded in death by her parents Maria Rosario Carlos Barrios, Benjamin Rodrigo Ruiz Rodriguez and brother Benjamin Walterio. Dora is survived by her husband of 29 years, Ricardo Wolfe; her children, Christopher (Julie), Edward (Mary), Nicholas (Maricella) and Melissa (Ivan); grandchildren, Jackson, Olivia, Liliana, Luciana, Josiah and Leon; and siblings, Edgar Haroldo, Hugo Lionel, Maria Teresa, Vera, Gladys, Miriam Ivonee and Gisella Ileana.
Dora emigrated from her birthplace of San Marcos, Guatemala and established residence in Los Angeles County, California in the late 70’s. After the birth of her first two sons, she relocated to Denver, Colorado where her third and fourth children were born. Dora will be remembered most for her exceptional cooking, bright personality and sense of humor, vivid storytelling and commitment to her family. She was a boisterous soccer fan, enjoyed watching telenovelas and spending time with her grandchildren and dog Mimi. She spent her free time volunteering with neighborhood food banks, community centers and feeding her children.
A private service will be held for the family on September 24, 2021 in Lakewood. A memorial will be held at her son Christopher’s home following the service.
