We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Lakewood Location
Dayton Lee Painter of Denver, CO passed away on December 22, 2021, surrounded by his wife, three daughters and grandson.
Dayton was born to Noie and Loretto Painter in Denver, CO. He remained in Colorado to raise his family, open Painter’s Grinding, and built a vast network of great friends whom surrounded him his whole life.
The network of racing followed him throughout life, becoming a mentor, building Painter’s Grinding from his garage into a space where we all thrived, and built anything that would go fast. His legacy will live on through anyone who knew him.
Dayton was a loving family man. He is survived by his wife, Connie, three daughters - Shannan, Cindy and Katie; Nephew – Kirk Enochs; 7 grandchildren - Michael, Noah, Lovisa, Maja, Joseph, Grace, Anja, and 2 great grandchildren Zoe and Finn. He was predeceased by his loving sister, Laura Enochs, and his parents Noie and Loretto Painter and Uncle George and Aunt Lou Winkler. He was loved, and he will be greatly missed.
There will be a private service for the family followed by a celebration of life in June.
